I have lost a total of 160 pounds, 100 of that since joining Curves in January 2005.
I had surgery in November 2004 and I honestly feel it was only a tool for the weight loss. I still had/have to make the committment everyday to eat right and exercise. Honestly though no matter what time of day I have worked out, I never once was made to feel embarrassed or ashamed of the way I look or of all the changes my body was going through. I felt accepted no matter what my size was and that was a wonderful feeling.

| After walking out on an office Christmas dinner because, at 366 pounds, she couldn't fit behind the table, a determined Debbie Bishop-Lane walked into her local Curves, which she had joined a month before. A year later, she was 179 pounds lighter. And as she dressed for that year's Christmas party, her youngest daughter put her arms around her mom, told her how much she loved her, and how beautiful she was.
